Magnetism

grades 5 and 6: 9 am till 1 pm

When do magnetic forces pull and when do they push? And how are they used in everyday life?

The pupils will get to know magnetic poles and fields around magnets (including the magnetic field around the earth). They will build electromagnets and get to test different materials in magnetic fields. At the end of the day they can all create a small magnet which they can take home. 

No previous knowledge is required. Please bring your own lunch.
