EMIL

EMIL Chemistry Laboratory

The Energy Materials In-situ Laboratory (EMIL) at the Helmholtz Zentrum Berlin (Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen Campus-WRC) provides exceptional facilities for both sample preparation and characterization. Within the laboratory, there are two dedicated spaces: the chemistry laboratory and the sample characterization laboratory (SCALA).

The chemistry laboratory is equipped with a comprehensive range of essential lab equipment, supplies, and chemicals. Furthermore, it houses specialized equipment to meet unique research needs. These include a plasma cleaner, Schlenk line, argon and nitrogen glove boxes, ultrasonic bath, press, regular balance, microbalance, centrifuge, high-temperature oven, spin coater, and more. This assortment of advanced tools empowers researchers to perform precise and complex experiments.

Laboratory Facilities

Through access to the chemistry lab and SCALA, EMIL enables scientists to prepare samples and subsequently analyze them using standard and advanced characterization techniques.

To access the laboratory facilities, all users must complete both online and in-person training sessions with the lab manager.

Please contact the lab manager Dr. Alejandra Ramirez Caro, if you have further questions.

Please reserve the lab equipment as per this CALENDAR:
