Cryostat for PINK
In close cooperation with the group of Prof. Serena DeBeer from Max-Planck-Institute für Chemische Energiekonversion a unique cryostat with sample manipulator has been developed for XES investigations at the PINK beamline in the temperature range from 20K to 300K.
The cryostat equipped with x-ray beam windows can be integrated in the in the PINK beamline and spectrometer. The temperature of the cryogenic sample chamber is controlled by a GM-cryocooler in the range of 20K to 300K.
An array of samples on a exchangeable sample slide can be introduced easily in the cold cryogenic sample chamber by a manipulator sample stick and translated in XY-direction in the beam of PINK by servo and piezo drives.
