Technology Transfer – Bridging the gap between fundamental science and industry

Photovoltaic and catalytic technologies, materials and products are developed at PVcomB together with partners from research and industry. The transfer of technology and knowledge takes place in research projects with industrial partners and through the training of highly qualified specialists.

For our research and also for cooperation with national and international partners, we have a wide range of industry-related preparation, process and coating facilities as well as extensive analytical methods at our disposal. The focus is on the development of technologies for photovoltaics and catalysis.  We benefit from the synergies that arise in cross-technology issues such as the development of metal oxides (e.g. optically transparent, electrically conductive, catalytically active), electrical contacts, nano- and microstructures and barrier layers or laser-based interconnection or post-treatment technology. The processes are optimized at the highest level in terms of function, structure, yield and reliability through accompanying analyses and modelling.
