Industrial Advisory Board

Technology transfer-relevant activities have been supported at the HZB since 2016 through the establishment of an industrial advisory board (IB). The IB consists of representatives from industry and those responsible for technology transfer at the HZB. Other external experts can be included in the IB if required.

The business of the IB is managed by a chairperson (industry representative) and a deputy chairperson (HZB representative). The IB meets once a year; in the event of particular urgency, applications can be decided by circular or by telephone conference.

The tasks of the industrial advisory board are:

• Assessment of the HZB technologies from an industrial perspective
• Assessment of technology transfer price applications
• Assessment of technology transfer fund applications
• Support with market research
• Support with technology transfer-relevant funding measures
