Department Microstructure and Residual Stress Analysis

New lab space

New lab space for high-flux X-ray sources: At the Adlerhof site in the technical center on Albert-Einstein-/Vollmerstraße (UTZ), the Microstructure and Residual Stress Analysis department is building two new radiation protection cabins for the operation of new high-flux X-ray sources. The cabins are designed for X-rays with energies of up to 70 keV and up to 160 keV respectively. In addition, a control room will provide the option of controlling the X-ray sources and measurement devices in the radiation protection cabins (see sketch).
