New team structure for the optics and beamline department

In 2017, we started with a group structure that was strongly oriented towards the set-up of a beamline and the disciplines involved: design, metrology, construction, control and initial commissioning.

However, such a group structure was not able to visualize all our work satisfactorily. We have therefore decided to reorganize ourselves with a view to BESSY II+ and BESSY III and to form teams independently of our central task “ set-up of beamlines”. The intention is to show clear responsibilities and to present all our fields of work.
