SoTeXS - Beamline

WI-AOS is responsible for Work Package 2, which is dedicated to designing and constructing the beamline infrastructure. A primary challenge is the development of a monochromator equipped with a standard 1200 l/mm blazed grating and 2400 l/mm blazed grating coated with a multilayer to increase the reflectivity in the Tender X-Ray range. The monochromator will have a minimum speed of 10 eV/s, enabling quick energy flyscan. The whole range will be covered in less than 8 minutes. 

To increase the mirror reflectivity, we are developing a three layer coating that will guarantee high reflectivity in the whole energy range, with the mirrors at 0.8° incidence angle.
